What the scorecard weighs
Scores combine four things a buyer can check without taking anyone's word for it: track record (how long the market has run and whether it has a clean history), redundancy (how many working mirrors keep it reachable), payment privacy (Monero support and escrow), and security enforcement (whether PGP is required rather than optional). A market can lead on one axis and trail on another — the single score is the blend, and the individual reviews explain the trade-offs.
Mirror count is listed because it is the clearest single signal of resilience: a market with four onions rarely goes fully dark, while a single-address market is all-or-nothing. See how we rank for the method in full.
